In it’s simplest form, Twitter is a communication tool. But is that it?
On the homepage of twitter you will find the definition as follows:
“Twitter is a service for friends, famly, and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?”
Stephen Perice describes Twitter as more than that. He describes it as a platform of “COMMUNITIES of people, having CONVERSATIONS, about specific CONTENT.”
In addition, Stephen Pierce says that Twitter is a:
1) Hyper Branding Tool
2) Credibility Building Tool
3) Mass Influencing Tool
I never thought of Twitter in this context. It’s an amazing platform once you view this tool as such and begin to really realize what it’s USES are and how you can utilizing for your marketing efforts.

Why have I chosen to share this book?
Well for one thing, this book is not only heavily endorsed by top internet marketers like Mike Filsaime and Rich Schefren… but I read the book and I agree that it is a valuable resource for any marketer or business owner, online or offline.
Who is Dan Ariely?
Dan Ariely is a professor of behavioral economics and currently teaches at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He also was a joint professor the MIT Media Lab and MIT Sloan School of Management (one of the world’s leading business schools). Ariely’s discoveries are based on rock-solid research and experimentation with people in actual settings.
Ariely says that rather than making decisions based on LOGIC, we as individuals within a society actually make “SNAP decisions” based on our emotions and what is considered the norm of society. If this is true, then these decisions are generally repeated or repeatable and thus predictable.
Ariely’s discoveries are based on rock-solid research and experimentation with people instead of some useless theory conjured within a closed classroom.
How does any of this translate into anything helpful to you?
Well, if you are able to reasonably predict what decision your prospects will make, you can then more easily convert those propects into customers, and thus increase profits.
Use this information to change your sales letters or product offers and make a more informed decision about which upsells, downsells, crosssells, or bonuses you offer.
I’ve listened to his audio, seen his videos, and watched his Google presentation and he really knows how to break down complex concepts into easily digestible nuggets to really allow you to get into the mindset of your buyers. His book is a great read.
